Les examens
Cramming the following:
The reasons all of this work has amounted is because this year, school (I don't know who) moved our oh-so important mid-year exams to after the Term 2 holidays. Whilst it would seem beneficial to us, as we get two weeks of holidays to get better prepared, it also sucks anus. Mainly because it clashes with everything in the universe; week two of my holidays are lost because of the ski-trip, and it would almost seem like we are being punished for going on the trip. You might say, well one week is more than almost no study days if the exams were before the holidays, fair enough.
But wait, I have two full-day revision sessions on Tuesday (Chem) and Friday (Maths), I had a party on Saturday which killed the entire weekend and most of Monday with cleaning up and returning things, so this gives me Wednesday and Thursday as potential study-devoted days and also the Monday of Week 1. That's about 3 days. I'm not saying revision seminars won't help me revise, because they will, hence their name.
The exams also clash with the UMAT test, which so quite a number are sitting on that Wednesday. Whilst Mr O'Doherty is slaughtering teachers for giving additional work or holding holidays revision sessions, giving us exam revision doesn't give us much of a holiday either.
Added in a new, completely non-biased poll so you can say which you'd prefer; mid-year exams before or after the Term 2 break.
So yea, while it may seem ironic that this bitching sessions about school is actually wasting precious study time, it had to be done. As always, I will sit my exams disgracefully under-prepared, and as always they don't count and should enlighten me about my abilities or lack thereof.
