Friday and encounting

Counting down indeed people, I am hoping to complete the majority of my homework in these final hours of the holidays. This way I have successfully kept work out of my free time! Not that this is awfully hard to do, but still.

If you happened to be on South Road Wednesday night you may have well heard the intergalactic battle that took place at Zone 3. It was an IB initiative, organised by Jenni. It had been a while since I went laser skirmishing, the last time was definetly in Holland, because there was a time when everyone went "laser gaming" for their birthday parties.

$10 dollars gave us 3 games (or missions) and I think most of you know how the rest works. You wear a vest with sensors on the front back and shoulders and you carry your phasor gun. Your aim: to get as many points by destroying the other team's base (shooting inside a barrel three times) and obviously shooting people of the opposing team(s).

You sit in a little briefing room first where they show you a DVD intro about "hordes of minions" attacking some alien tribe bla bla! It just goes way to far. Also a "In case of an emergency" list was on the wall. It read:
In the unlikely event of an emergency:
1. An alarm may or may not sound

Very worthwhile putting that up...

Jenni, Tessa, Sarah, Jo, Heather, Daniel, Josh, Serge, Tom and Jason where there and a lot of midgets joined later. We ended up buying another two games after we had finished. In between games we compared score sheets that detailed, our score (hence the name) total shots fired, accuracy, how many ppl we tagged and how many times you got tagged by others.

We walked down to Macca's after until had all organised our ride home. Which was interesting with Josh's strict father, Jenni's lies to her mother and kind offer of a lift from Sarah that never happened. Luckily my brother and his girlfriend were able to pick us up.

More later
