Shortest day

Back to school and we recieved exam results from most subjects so far. I'm pretty happy with my results keeping in mind I barely studied for any of the exams. Most happy with French with a 5 for the overal exam including oral and also chemistry (55/74 or 73%). Least happy with Maths, a low and degrading 51%. :(
A new exchange student from France joined our classs today. His name is Serge, or should I say Seeeerge! He'll be here for about 3 months and he seems to fit it ok.

It's the shortest day of the year today.
The sunset from our house was therefore at its most northerly point. And it will now slowly move back to the left each night. It's a very cool thing to observe. Here's a shot

Hallelujah!

And moments later...

This short day is also the day we mourn, well at least the Dutch. As we lost to the Czech Republic 3-2 in the Euro 2004. Our only chance of getting throught to the next round is if Germany loses or even draws with Czech, assuming we beat Latvia. Because if we don't beat Latvia, then I will shave my leg. I swear I will.
