Just bloggin' about

Term 2 is well underway and I think most of us are starting to feel the workload grow on us, slowly...
It is not pleasant to know that we all will be sitting exams of some sort closer to the end of term, because as always it means lots of revision, lots of stress and lots of transportable classrooms. Or villages as they are known as now. Apart from schoolwork, the winter sports have gotten underway and I'm very excited about the soccer season ahead. Open A's and B's played Concordia at their homeground last Saturday. The A's did very well with a 4-0 win. Then it was our turn; Open B's. Right now, Open A's and B's are more or less divided into years 11 and 12, which I'm not particularly complaining about. David, Nick, Jeremy and Jason had been around to my house the night before to play tennis court soccer. It was during this time that Jason severly screwed his ankle thus being injured for our match. Tant pis.
For the game, Mr Bonney and myself were assigned the sweeper and stopper and did a reasonable job seeing as no ball crossed our goalline in between the goalposts, below the crossbar. In other words, they didn't score. It wasn't till Jeremy was accused of elbowing a player somewhere in the box away from play, thus the referee (and what a shit one it was, speaking from a referee's perspective) awarded a penalty. One might question the capability of Jeremy, short man to elbow an opponent such that it would count as a foul. I didn't see it, but anyway, you have to respect the referee's decision. A penalty was taken, a penalty was turned into a goal, celebrations took place. However, there is always an element of BUT as Mrs Wong would say. One of their players had run in before the ball was kicked therefore, the penalty was to be taken again! This only took about 10 minutes to get through to the other team, who were overjoyed that they had scored, from a penalty!! The same player took the penalty but this time, Fabian, our goalkeeper was able to save the ball. The shot rebounded and because of the previous incident, people were a bit hestitant to run in, giving the penalty kicker all the time needed to finish it off. Final score 3-1. Oh yea our goals were scored by Julian (2) and Chen (1). Good effort everyone, and let's whoop some St John's ass this w/e at Waite. Go MC's zigga zagga zigga zagga OIOIOI!

Yet time for more homework.
'Travail de la maison' or maybe just devoirs. Funny if you think of the verb "devoir= to have to". The word devoirs for homework literally means "to-have-to-s". Damn so much tohaveto's tonight...

Peace out
