Schoolies through Eddy's eyes:

See you in Victor!

Did you book it?

Physics paper 3 was the final stretch in what was a fairly tough exam period. Having said that, it flew by, and I think it took it fairly easy, trying not to stress too much. It's a weird feeling leaving behind two years of study, but it's oh so liberating. I've stack all my books away, and I went around and tore down all revision sheets and the like, hanging on my wall. I guess you could say I am rather anti-depressed, or as Ashwin has understated it, 'content'.

I got home today, had an extra-lengthy shower, and had a big brunch in front of the TV and just did whatever I wanted! Not being told to go to my room to study, or constantly feeling the guilt when you're not behind your desk. I'll have to get used to this new lifestyle, but I'm liking it a lot.

Last night there were two separate happenings. Firstly, the (predominantly) IB bash at Heatherez's. Time it was to celebrate three separate 18ths that fell in and during our exam period on the one occassion. Secondly, was an unofficial gathering at Dan's. Not wanting to miss out on either of them, Tom and I were the only ones that managed to attend both (took us the necesarry trips there and back {merci beaucoup Rachele}).

An interesting, yet pointless argument sparked out of control (possibly due to high blood-alcohol levels) about whether you 'book' your haircut (via an appointment or some sort of prior-arrangement) or you just rock up and wait till you get served. Then there was the question of going to a "salon" or a "barber" and which was more/less masculine. Toby and David were avid "non-bookers", who refuse to book '6 months' in advance to get their hair cut, and prefer barbers. They were heavily against the gay practice of booking haircuts at salons. Hahaha it was hilarious. Well I'm a booker, in fact I booked one on Friday to have today. You had to be there..anyway, hence the title of this post.

On the agenda this week:
~ Sunday: Orientation day at the S.C.C.E. (Brazil Exchange)
~ Monday: Driving lesson (getting Ps soon ya)
~ Tuesday: Something..
~ Wednesday: Year 12 barbie?
~ Thursday: Gotta hit the MC
~ Friday: Ball!

Also news just in, Eddy is becoming Australian on the 30th of November 5:00pm, and there's nothing you can do about it! Just realised: that's not long after we get back from Schoolies. This is the pledge:
From this time forward,
I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people,
whose democratic beliefs I share,
whose rights and liberties I resepct, and
whose laws I will uphold and obey

I look forward to becoming an Aussie, and I think it calls for some sort of Eddy-becomes-a-citezen celebration. I will think of something.

Time to experience more freedom...

Go the Socceroos!
What a match.
I must say a very lucky goal with Kewell more or less missing, but man.
We owned Uruguay in the second half!

The WC draw is December 10. Let's hope the Aussies don't draw against powerhouse nations such as Brazil and The Netherlands (you know it!).

This will be one World Cup to look forward to.

Anyway I'm off to sleep (like Guus)

Misfortune

A long long time ago, a person was looking to extend his online doings by incorporating a forum as an addition to his existing weblog. This idea was long put off, as there was another who had a forum and it required some time to make. One day the other forum ceased, and so it seemed the opportunity had finally come! www.dutchboard.blogspot.com was about to be released, when the day before a third came, and beat him to the job...

Nice one!

Just 4 papers/ 5 hours of exams remaining...

PS. It's ok, I'm not that upset, just a teeny bit.

Trippy stuff

Don't look at it for too long, waaaah
